Top tips for catching those ZZZs

Wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated with our top sleep tips:

  1. Maintain a consistent daily schedule – getting up and going to bed at roughly the same time helps set your body clock, making it easier for the sleep hormone, melatonin, to be produced at the right times.
  2. Avoid caffeine after 1pm.
  3. Reduce alcohol consumption in the evening as it disrupts sleep patterns.
  4. Switch off the electronics. Exposure to blue light emitted from screens ‘fools’ the brain into staying awake.
  5. Wind down as early as possible by taking a shower or having a bath.
  6. And lastly, freshly made bed linen makes for pure bliss.
